How to wash my wig without wig shampoo?
There are some alternatives to wig shampoo to wash your wig:
Alternative 1: Baking Soda
Baking soda is a great alternative to wig shampoo. This is the best option if your wig absorbs cooking, cigarette smoke, or other odors. It gets rid of all those smells very quickly.
Step 1: Fill a sink with three quarts of warm water and add 1/2 to two-thirds of a cup of baking soda.
Step 2: When the baking soda has completely dissolved in the warm water, dip the wig in the water. Let it saturate for 4 hours or overnight.
Step 3: Take out the wig, rinse it, gently squeeze out water, and then put it on the wig rack to air dry.
Alternative 2: Cornstarch
Cornstarch is a great way to clean wigs. It's recommended for cleaning synthetic wigs. It's harmless and removes unpleasant odors.
Step 1: Make sure the wig is completely dry.
Step 2: Dust the wig with cornstarch and let it sit for 5 minutes.
