How I Blend My Leave Out with Curly Hair Extensions?

So the first thing that you want to do is protect your hair with either some hair protectant or just any type of oil or anything like that, you just want to put enough to where provides your hair with shine but you don't want too much because you don't want to weigh your hair down, and have it looking crazy.

I do recommend that you flat iron your leave out before you start this process, just because it will just make it blend more flawlessly. And so the styling tool that I'm going to be using is this curling wand, so the first step is to just take a small piece of your leave out and a small piece of the curly hair extensions, or just the extension and wrap it around the small end of the wand, you want to stay close to the small end of the wand, because typically curly hair extensions have a tighter curl and so staying close to the small end is going to provide you with a tighter curl. So you're just going to do the same thing all the way down the part of your leave out, you want to take a small piece of your hair, and a small piece of the extensions, and wrap it around the small end of the curling wand.

And I have this on about an eight, and it goes all the way up to ten, and you do not need to leave it on there for long, a few seconds really will suffice to have the curls coming out beautiful, and plus you don't want it to look like you curl your hair, you want it to look like you know, you just wash to these extensions and this is how it printed. So you know you want it to look as natural as possible, so you just leave it on there for a minimum amount.

And if you do have shorter hair, my hair it's a little bit longer, so it's easier for me to wrap it around the curling wand. If you do have short hair, not only do I recommend you using a heat protectant glove, so that you can manipulate the hair around the curling wand easier, but also the short end of the wand is like your best friend, I mean it's everybody's best friend, but this is like your best best friend. One part of my hair is shorter on the edge and just a little bit will still fit around the ends of that curling wand there. So that way every piece of your hair looks curly, and looks like it's blending with the extensions, so we have this side done. So you just do the same thing over and over again, and it should provide you with the results that you get all you leave out blend well with the extension. I mean look at the results of this curling wand, it is just amazing.

Curly Hair Extensions Care Routine

Step 1: Shampoo Your Curls Once a Week
Over-washing curly hair can dry out your hair tremendously, leaving you with brittle, rough strands. Do not wash it too often.
Washing your hair with mild or cold water, wash it gently, do not rub it harshly. Comb it with wide tooth brush.

Step 2: Condition Your Curly Hair Extensions
Conditioning curly hair is huge. Conditioner keeps your hair soft, shiny, and tangle-free. Condition your curly hair extensions after using shampoo. When conditioning, focus the product on the middles to ends of your locks only. If you work conditioner into your roots, your hair will look greasy and flat once your hair dries.

Step 3: Apply an After Shower Cream

After showering, comb through your locks. Then, apply a quarter sized amount of one of after shower cream products all throughout your curls, from roots to ends. These products provide essential nutrients to your hair, making sure your locks are healthy and shiny.

Step 4: If You're Going to Use Heat, Protect First
This heat protectant sprays are crucial. If you like to give your curls some extra oomph with a curling iron/wand, flatten them with a flat iron, or blow dry them with a hair dryer, your locks need to be protected.

Unprotected curls given excessive heat can result in damaged hair that doesn't grow quickly, flat curls that can't breathe well, and, again, dry strands. Furthermore, adding a protectant makes your hair shiny and soft. Just spray some and your hair will be mosturized and it will prevent your hair from getting damaged.

Just spray it on and it will moisturize and prevent your hair from getting damaged. It smells amazing, too.

Protect your curls before you apply heat, they're worth it! And, if you can, limit your heat use; your curls are beautiful just the way they are.
