Washing and Conditioning: Shampoo your Virgin Human Hair like they are your own and wash it at least once a week. Curly textures require frequent shampoos or co-washes to look its best hair. During the washing process make sure you use a good quality shampoo and conditioner.
Detangling: Always keep your hair weaves from tangling and frizzing up. Brush or comb gently and avoid any excess tension. We also strongly recommend the use of a de-tangling brush to comb your hair extensions every day so that it does not develop tangles especially in the nape area. Start detangling your hair at the bottom, the same way you would detangle your own and and work your way up.
Drying: When you are trying to protect the longevity of your human hair weaves, it is important that you use heat in moderation. Granted you should be able to curl and blow dry your hair everyday if you wanted to, but understand that the hair may not last as long as it would if you let the hair air dry and flat ironed it twice a week. If you are focused on blow drying your hair, then you should put it on the lowest heat possible to reduce the possibility of shedding and breakage. Remember to use heat in moderation because you don’t want your human hair extensions to dry out.
Protecting: While you are washing, conditioning, blow drying, and curling your hair, it is important you protect your hair as well. Make sure that you keep your hair moisturized with alcohol free products and if you do decide to use heat on it daily, use a heat protect serum that will protect the hair from drying out. Using natural oils such as coconut oil and virgin olive oil will preserve the hair and keep it moisturized and soft at the same time. You don’t want your human hair extensions to get brittle.
