What is Hair closure?
Hair closure is a small lace fabric piece or silk piece with individual hair strands braid and knotted directly to the lace. There are Lace closure and silk base closure, choose the one you like. Silk closures is based on silk and it has a longer lifespan and more realistic scalp-like appearance. Lace closure is thinner, but it may has a noticable up close.
When it comes to the question that hair closure looks 'wiggy', that is mostly due to head shape and hair install techniques. For hair closure wearers who has unique head shapes, often times lace closures are more effective because they tend to be more flexible. Your stylist experience with closures also plays a major role in how natural your closure will look.
How to care for Closure piece?
It is very important to take extra care of your hair closure piece to prevent it from balding. Balding is when your closure begins to have a spot where the hairs have come out of the base creating a balding appearance. It can be caused by excessive pulling, combing, scratching with fingernails or foreign objects, etc. Hair closures is not your real scalp, so you shold take good care of it and not teat it like a real scalp.
Each hair is individually ventilated into the base, knotted and secured with a strong adhesive. Based on the construction of a closure, you should comb/brush the hair from the ends, working your way up to the root while hold the hair at the root to prevent tension. Hair loss on hair closures is relatively easy because it is not wefted like extensions. Irregular care approach of your hair closure may cause hair loss and balding.
