How To Install Body Wave Lace Frontal wigs

Jul 29, 2023

The most difficult thing for a wig is not how to take care of it but how to install it quickly and correctly. A skillful woman may make a mistake unconsciously, such as cutting off too much lace so that ruins the perfect hairline or failing to secure the lace part due to impatience. Although there are so many bad cases, installing lace frontal wigs is not a hard task.

 1. Wash your own hair and dry it

You may wonder why should you clean your natural hair before installing human hair wigs. Here is the answer. Body wave lace frontal wigs brought from beautyforever are all cleaned before packaging. If your hair is oily or greasy, it is easy to smear the brand new wig, and you have to increase the washing frequency of wigs so that waste much time.

Bear in your mind please, dry your hair then move to the next step. It is easy to be ignored but crucial to hair health. Wet hair is more fragile than dry hair, and moist space without ventilation damage your scalp and the roots of the hair, influencing hair growth finally. So please make sure your natural hair is dry.

 2. Braid hair to protective hairstyles

Protective hair patterns are familiar to us, and everyone tries some of these patterns to protect their hair and save time styling hair in daily life. Do as same as you used to. Braid your hair into cornrows, straight back to the nape. Or braid hair from ear to ear according to your cowlicks.

A useful tip help to keep the scalp moist: apply a bit of oil on your uncovered scalp.

 3. Brush body wave lace frontal wig first

Generally, a new wig is smooth and soft, but it can not be promised after long-distance transport. Some knots may happen in this process.

Use a wide-tooth comb to brush your hair. Be gentle, do not break hair with a strong force.

 4. Wear a wig cap or not

wear a wig cap

It is okay to wear a wig cap or not. Wig caps flatten your hair edges and make the whole head look nice.

If you already finished braiding your hair, wig caps only play a limited role in hair tidying. And wig caps set a barrier to clipping your wig on natural hair. To secure lace frontal wigs firmly, it is a better option to throw away your wig cap.

 5. Apply powder foundation

Turn the wig inside out to expose the inside lace. Choose the color that is close to your skin tone so that blends lace better with your own complexion. Apply your powder foundation to the lace at the front of the wig with a small powder brush.

Put lace powder on your wig cap if you are wearing it.

 6. Fix the wig on your head

 7. Apply gel, glue, or spray

apply gel

For beginners, it is recommended to use gel or spray. Glue has a strong effect but is also easy to cause skin allergy. Gels and spray are milder and more convenient to remove.

Spray along your hairline and smear evenly with your fingers. You can also use a blow-dryer to make the spray sticky, then, wrap a strand to cover the lace for five to ten minutes.

 8. Cut off excessive lace

Loose the strand, you will see the lace part lay down and cling to your hairline. It is time to cut off the excessive lace.

Clip or tie all your hair up so that would not influence your actions.

Cut the lace around your ear first or finally, it is the hardest part.

Section lace on your forehand into three parts and trim them with a small shear piece by piece.

 9. Style your hair edges

Put some strands of hair down and trim them into short lengths. Style edges with your brush patiently. Gels would help you fix your hair the whole day.
